It usually takes 5-10 years for a "normal" house settling. Most people aren't aware of the serious issue of a house "sinking". This usually happens when the soil is bad or starts to shift. Poor maintenance of the land can be a result in cracked walls, slanted floors, off-set doors, strange noises, etc. This can become a very serious issue and should be looked into immediately. 

Most people believe if they hear a strange noise in their home, it is a ghost. That is not always the case with a "normal" house settling or "sinking". Every possible cause should be looked into and thoroughly investigated. We have worked several cases where the claims of activity were nothing more than Heat/A/C turning on, wind blowing against the house, houses settling/sinking, rodents, pipes, loose floor boards, etc.

Just remember..

Not everything that goes “bump in the night” is a spirit looking to scare you. About 80% of the time we can help you by proving or disproving the claims of activity. 

Connecting with your Spirit Guides or Angels

I apologize for the Blog delay. We are in the middle of a move and it has me a bit scattered!

I have been asked recently if it is possible for them to contact or connect to their Spirit Guides or Angels.  (For the sake of ease and consistency, I will refer to them as your Angels.)The answer is absolutely yes! When you were born, you we connected with your Angels. Have you ever noticed how babies seem to be fascinated by "nothing"? They will coo and laugh when "no one" is in the room.  As children grow, they are taught by well-meaning parents that talking to themselves is not "right" or "normal". They are told that imaginary friends are not real and to "quit living in a fantasy world", as my mother used to say.  This of course, was because of her own fears. 

So, how does a person overcome years of being told what to believe? Everyone is different, because everyone was raised different. In order to release a belief that does not serve you, you must first intend it. If you are not okay with it, it will never happen. I carried a lot of mental baggage that had been gifted to me by well-meaning parents, so it took me a bit longer to okay with these steps) The first step I used was the techniques of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and/or TAT (Tapas AcupressureTechnique) both can be found on YouTube or the Internet. These techniques help to remove any negative belief that may stand in your way. 

The next thing, is learn to meditate. This is not critical, but it does help tremendously. I used the Silva Ultramind Method by Jose Silva. (I personally prefer Laura Silva's voice.) The idea of counting down from 10 and relaxing each muscle of the body as you work your way down in combination with the Alpha sound. It worked very well for me, and I tried everything!

After you have done these two steps, you will be in a better place to trust yourself and your mind. With that trust, you will learn to pay attention to everything around you, especially when you are alone. Twice a day, sit outside (sunrise and sunset is perfect), observe all that is in nature (keeping a journal for eight weeks is very important). Sit inside in a well lit room and observe your feelings and senses. Sit in a room that is completely dark, again, observing your feelings and senses. Don't push it. Don't judge. Just allow. After you have done this twice a day, for two weeks. Reread your journal, noting any changes. Now allow your awareness to expand six to eight feet around you. While in this state; open your heart awareness. Like attracts like! You will sense them before you hear them. You will not hear them with audible words, but the words will be heard within you mind. I know this sounds absolutely NUTS! I promise, it is true! People have a difficult time with trusting their mind. They believe that if they "hear" words in their mind that they are not  "theirs" then, it is time to find a fancy new jacket that buckles in the back.  Believe me, I KNOW! There is one absolute way of knowing that what you are hearing IS your angels! You have been gifted a Solar Plexus! It will never lie to you! The power of discernment  is YOURS! A marvelous gift that works well...every time! Another way of knowing the truth of it, is to ask yourself if what you are sensing and hearing a loving thing. Do those words encourage you? Do they bring you love, joy, hope, happiness? THAT is how you KNOW your angels are guiding you!

Assisting those on the "Other Side"

People who are taught from childhood that voice in their head means something very, very wrong, learn to ignore them.  They grow up to fear being "put away" if they hear voices and so devise a way of ignoring them. Everyone can hear them! However, based on the way you are raised (someone else's belief)  determines what your belief is today. Some churches teach that if you hear voices, you are possessed. Others teach that ONLY the preacher, pastor or priest can hear them, because they are the words of God and no one else is worthy of such a gift, therefore, if you hear them you MUST be hearing Satan.  Interesting world we live in. Based on fear, lack, disempowerment and judgment. The worse one being judgment (of self). Okay, on with it! Everyone has the ability to listen and hear their Spirit Guides, ancestors and angels! All you need is just a bit of guidance! Oh....and you must give yourself permission to do it! The first step is releasing old beliefs and then begin to meditate. I suggest anything by Jose or Laura Silva. 

Those of us who have gotten to this place find it easier to "see" or "sense" entities of all kinds and levels. It helps with assisting them in various degrees to where they need to be or want to be, and that gives us all peace.

Can you describe paranormal experiences without using the word fear? Too few to count, right? When people seek out Paranormal Investigators, they have typically reached the limits as to what they can deal with. There are those who want to be sure the sight and sounds ARE actually in their heads, and there those who are just curious.

Our minds are very protective of us! They will make excuses for us, open doors, close doors and they can even check out if we feel we are in danger.   

What you focus on .... you get. What you focus on with emotion ...  you get faster! If you focus on something you are afraid of, that focus will become a magnet to that fear. Think about this.....are you afraid of spiders or snakes? Just the thought of one of those huge hairy spiders makes you want to jump up and run! The more you focus on what you fear, just by virtue of the focus, you WILL attract it! Before the end of the day, you will have a hairy buddy showing up somewhere along the way. Sound strange? Try it! If you would rather focus on a twenty dollar bill, try that! It works just as well...only it has a different feeling to it, doesn't it? The hairy buddy, likely as not, will end up a hairy pancake, but the twenty bucks has way more possibilities attached to it!

So if someone moves into an old house, let's say, with no known history. And you run into an old friend while standing in line at the grocery store. Your friend asks you where you have moved to and you respond with "Oh the house at the end of Second street on the North side".  You friend says "I heard that something terrible happened in that house. For the life of me, I can't remember what or when, but I am certain I heard it somewhere".  So, the idea had been planted. The more specific the information, the greater the focus, the greater the focus, the faster the attraction! I am not saying that all paranormal experiences are created in someone's mind. I am suggesting that if a person who is fearing a paranormal experience, is seriously focusing on that fear, that can and oftentimes do, attract them. They become like a magnet! So, no matter where they move to, there are continually attracting more experiences.

Please keep in mind that this does not apply to every situation, it does happen often, however.

Superstitions

I grew up in a home with an Italian Mother and a French Canadian Father. My Mother had so many superstitions that they became part of my life no matter what I was doing. I also remember even at a very young age that all my Mother's predictions came true or at the very least 95% of them did! So, I paid attention!

It is my belief today, that if you believe a superstition to be true, then it shall be! When you place your absolute knowing on something, you activate the energy inherent in it! So, the more vested in it, you are, the quicker it manifests!  This is the stuff of fears! (At least the negative ones.) Fear is a very powerful magnet! The more you focus on an event or expectation of an outcome ~ with fear, the quicker it manifests!

Here are a few superstitions listed in the Old Farmer's Almanac. See if any of them sound familiar to you!

There are many superstitions and old wives tales' about the house and home.

From our collection of folklore, here are some sayings for good luck in your home. 

• Scatter Solomon's seal on the floor to banish serpents and venomous creatures from the room.

• To protect your house from lightning, gather hazel tree branches on Palm Sunday and keep them in water.

• Add caraway seeds to chicken feed to keep poultry from wandering. Feed the seeds to homing pigeons to help them find their way back.

• Stuff fennel in your keyhole or hang it over your door to protect against witches.

• Never carry a hoe into the house. If you do so by mistake, carry it out again, walking backward to avoid bad luck.

• Never walk under a ladder, which is Satan's territory. If you must do it, cross your fingers or make the sign of the fig (closed fist, with thumb between index and middle fingers).

• If you give a steel blade to a friend, make the recipient pay you a penny to avoid cutting the friendship.

• Never give a knife as a housewarming present, or your new neighbor will become an enemy.

• Never pound a nail after sundown, or you will wake the tree gods.

• Nail an evergreen branch to new rafters to bring good luck. An empty hornets' nest, hung high, also will bring good luck to a house of any age.

• When you move to a new house, always enter first with a loaf of bread and a new broom. Never bring an old broom into the house.

Banishing and Cleansing

It has been asked, what the difference is between a banishing and a cleansing. For the purpose of what Rick and I do, this is how we define it.

A banishing is removing an entity from a home. Typically, one that is attached to a home or dwelling. 

A cleansing is removing negative energies from a person, home or dwelling using a depiction of the elements of the four quarters (North, South, East and West) combined with an audible chant. This is especially effective when dealing with "leftover" energies (spirits) which are lost or aimlessly wandering. Buildings are made of natural substances (literally born of the Earth), these substances can hold the essence or energies of people who have lived or worked in these dwellings. This is much like an old photo that "holds" a trace of the essence or energy of the person in it.

When determining which is needed in any given situation, it is important to have a strong sense of self and intuition as to what you are dealing with.

Much of what it takes is simply experience. If you do not have experience, study with someone who does before attempting to banish or cleanse on your own.  

NOTE: There are many ways to do any number of banishing or cleansings. There are three very important things you must have in order to do these effectively.

1. A knowing beyond all doubt.

2. A good idea of what or who you are dealing with.

3. Adequate tools and intention.

Final Thoughts:

No one person knows everything, each person does things different and finally; the ethereal is always in motion and one person cannot truly learn all there is about it in one lifetime.

Mountain Station Cemetery

Near Wilburton, OK there is a cemetery called Mountain Station. It sits on a road that used to be an old mail route from the 1800's and possibly the early 1900's. For some time the cemetery has been a place where teenagers would party and try to summon the spirits for a small thrill. Mountain Station has its fair share of rumors and stories about a witch or witches being buried there. There is said to be a curse written on a witches grave stone and if anyone happens to read it, they will be cursed for the rest of their life. Another story I have heard is that anyone who walks the center of the cemetery from front to back and down it again will be cursed and die within the year. I have been to this cemetery maybe three times in my lifetime, including today. Supposedly there is also an old indian grave surrounded by a wall of stones towards the front of the cemetery. I have never been able to find the witches headstone or find any factual truth in these stories. So, am I a believer of these stories, well, the answer to that would be yes. I am the kind of person to try and find the facts to these stories considering I am a paranormal investigator and that is what I do. Maybe you can get the chance to visit the cemetery one day and have a story of your own. 

Christmas Connections with Loved Ones

At this time of year there are many emotions circling about. Some from childhood Christmases long ago passed, and other memories of loved ones who have crossed over. It is not unusual to have loved ones visit us from the other side during this time of year. Family members reminiscing of long-ago Christmases that were “perfect”, those that were “awful", those that were "memorable", and those that were forgettable. What makes Christmases (and Thanksgivings) especially receptive to those on the other side, is it the conversations that are about them or memorable experiences which include them. Holiday traditions are another way they are moved to draw near to us.

Here is what makes the veil a bit thinner during this time. Energy. Yes, once again I’m going to talk about energy! Let’s say that little Billy places a plate of cookies and a glass of milk (or peanuts and a beer) by the tree for Santa. Billy’s mom scoops him up and takes him to bed. In the short distance between the tree and his bed, Billy’s mom tells him about how her mom and dad would always read to her every Christmas Eve. She would tell him how her dad would always put the lights on the tree every year. She could still see him inspecting every light, and how he always had the sweetest smile while he was doing it. During those few minutes, Billy's mom has not only conjured up a very clear memory of her father, but also raise the energy in the room to a point where her dad felt wanted and welcome to join them. Later that night when she goes to bed, she might smell his cigar or hear a sound that is familiar from days gone by. Indeed her dad was there for a visit.

It takes energy to create ANYTHING, even and including memories. Those memories (one vibration) are quickened by our thoughts; verbalization (slightly higher vibration when followed by the latter) - which is a form of confirmation - combined with the agreement of another (Little Billy), who is agreeing to see his Grandfather’s memory by seeing him in his mind’s eye as he is being described by his mom.

So, this Christmas if you hear something, see you something, touch something, taste something or smelled something that reminds you of a loved one who has been on your mind a lot lately; send them your love with a virtual hug and acknowledgment. A timeless gift of honor.

Everything is made up of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Paranormal experiences can be experienced by a single person within a group or a group of people at the same time. Why is this? The experiences that each individual person have are based on what "makes up" that person. In other words, each person allows or resists experiences of paranormal phenomena.  The degree to which a person experiences paranormal contact is based on their "filters". As children we are open to all sorts of experiences. Our parents teach us what is" real" and what isn't. If a parent tells a small child that "There is no such thing as ghosts". That child may create a filter which blocks their ability to see it. Humans are very good at creating their own comfort zone and staying there! As time goes on, we are exposed to people of all walks of life and spiritual beliefs. We begin to sift through the information and; while using our solar plexus, we are able to discern what feels right to us. This moves about, depending on our experiences, our beliefs, our willingness to see things one way or another. Every experience we have and every thought we process regarding those experiences brings us to where we are today. You have the power to use it, change it, enhance it and/or share it!

Some of you may wonder if you can learn how to connect with the paranormal or those "on the other side".  The answer is Yes! There are a number of ways this can be done, and I will help anyone who is interested.

On Being Psychic

Every person has the gift of sight (they are psychic). The degree in which they are psychic depends on their own fears, and perceived limitations. In times past; it was believed that when a person could "see" a future event, they were evil or possessed by something evil.  The bottom line is people fear what they don't know.  Perceived  limitation will also stop people from the experience as well. 

Let me point out one very important piece of information. Just because someone may "see" a future event, it does not necessarily mean it will happen!  The future is not stagnant. It is always in motion. Every single choice we make has effect on the outcome.  

A person who wants to develop their psychic abilities will need to get "okay" with doing it. This takes practice......A LOT of practice! Don't judge yourself, don't worry or fuss over what "might be" or what "might have been", just allow it. Allow it as you would any inspired thought.  Remain unattached to the outcome and just pay attention to the answer that rises to the surface. You may find that it is not so bad after all!
